Jeff Valentine

  Jeff Valentine is managing partner and co-founder of Exium Partners. He has started, invested in, bought, or sold 8 companies in the past 15 years.   As a serial entrepreneur, he has held positions as President, Chief Executive Officer, Chief Technology Officer, Chief Marketing Officer, and SVP Product. Mr. Valentine was CEO of Callfinity, a company he co-founded in Boston, moved to Rochester, and grew 500% before selling to M5 Networks in 2011. Later, as CMO of Fonality, a provider of cloud-based business phone systems, he helped grow the business by 30,000 subscribers, cut churn in half, and increased earnings by $5M per year. Mr. Valentine is a member of the board of directors of several private companies and non-profit organizations, including The Strong National Museum of Play, the Rochester Angel Network, the Venture Jobs Foundation, and Pariemus. He is a cum laude graduate of Cornell University in Materials Science and Engineering with a concentration in Polymer Chemistry, and lives in Fairport, New York with his wife and two daughters, where he spends his weekends building a ridiculous tree house.
Hugh Rundle

  Hugh Rundle is an associate at Exium Partners. He is a serial entrepreneur who is a goal-oriented and self-motivated senior Global Sales, Marketing, OEM, Channel & Business Development executive with 25+ years of C-level experience. Mr. Rundle is able to go deep on technology, R&D, product, and new market development, while also having a background in financial and general business management. He has started 9 companies and sold 5, assisted other startups and early stage companies, and lectured on entrepreneurism at the University of Rochester. He has held senior positions at Xerox, PriceWaterhouse, and SafeSite Records Management. As a (former) scratch golfer, Mr. Rundle has a BA in Mathematics from St. John Fisher College and has completed extensive graduate studies in Computer Science (Rochester Institute of Technology) and studies toward a Master of Business Administration (University of Rochester). He lives in Webster, New York.

  Josh Bouk is a partner at Exium Partners. Over the past 17 years, he has led technology and services firms to organic and acquisitive growth, realizing significant increases in shareholder value. By structuring and enthusing holistic corporate cultures that focus on creating customer delight at every turn, he has spurred measurable growth and returns for companies in energy, software, consulting, and telecom. Mr. Bouk currently serves as the Vice President of Sales and Marketing of the Expense Management Division of Cass Information Systems (NASDAQ: CASS). Prior to joining Cass, Mr. Bouk held executive roles in sales, operations and marketing at Veramark Technologies, a publicly-traded software and services company, where he supported a successful go-private transaction, selling the company to Clearlake Capital Group. Prior to Veramark, he was the Chief Operating Officer for Connected Energy Corp., a smart-grid technology company, where he led the strategic sale of the company to BPL Global, a global leader in the demand management and automated distribution space. Mr. Bouk has also led consulting and tech services firms where he worked closely with companies including Microsoft, Avaya, HP, Xerox, Paychex and many other F1000 enterprises. In 2009, Mr. Bouk was recognized by the Rochester Business Journal as one of Rochester's "Forty Under 40". He currently sits on the advisory board of Blue Hill Capital Partners, is a member of the Atlanta Technology Angels, and a director at TAG Education Collaborative. Mr. Bouk currently lives in Atlanta with his wife and three children. Mr. Bouk graduated from the State University of New York, College at Brockport with B.S. degrees in Computer Science and Mathematics.
